Parents

We are an open access, inclusive centre catering primarily for children and young people with and without recognised disabilities. We have a free minibus service for our members with special needs from around the borough, on Saturdays and school holidays. We are open all year round; after school, weekends and all school holidays.

Our services include:

Play – 5 to 13 years: adventurous, arts & crafts, creative, cooking and more…
Youth (Fridays) – 14 to 25 years: advice sessions, sports, camping, residentials
Girls Group (Tuesdays) – 2 sessions: Brownies, arts & crafts, sports
Sports – for all: keep fit, football, badminton, martial arts, cricket, netball etc
Training / Courses – youth and parent/carers
Advice Sessions – health; we are hoping to start this from mid 2007

Opening hours are:

Term time: Tuesday to Friday, 16.00 to 21.00; Saturday, 10.00 to 17.00.
Half term: Tuesday to Friday, 10.00 to 12.30, 13.30 to 20.00; Saturday, 10.00 to 17.00.

The centre is closed on Mondays for children and young people.

VOLUNTEERING

You can get involved by becoming an AYCC volunteer. Help with organising sports, games, arts and crafts, driving the minibus, fundraising, or gardening, is hugely appreciated. Interested persons will first need to have a criminal records check.

POLICIES & CHILD PROTECTION

All our policies are available on request. All our staff have had an enhanced CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau). We are OFSTED registered and are inspected on a regular basis.
